How to get the Perfect Winger Eyelinger

Ok, ok. So we just about all of us females know how difficult it can be to get the "perfect" winged eyeliner.

It's either too short, too sloppy, too long, too high, uneven, or just a total trainwreck. Am I right, ladies?

Oh, but wait.

I have recently discovered an amazing teqnique that will blow. your. mind.

Here's the trick:

Tape.

That's it!

I don't know why it's taken me so long to figure this out. It's genius!

So, instead of explaining this process in a jumble of words (I am terrible at explaining things like this, I will admit.), I'm just going to show you.

(warning: my skin is nowhere near perfect. I'm human, too, believe it or not!)

Step 1: Grab your favorite eyeliner.

I use elf liquid eyeliner, but you are certainly free to use any other type, if you'd like.

Step 2: The tape.

Rip off a small piece of tape (about 1-2 inches.) and stick it on your face! Try to follow your bottom lash line.

and here's where the fun begins. ;)

Step 3: The liner.

I like to start with the wing and go in, but that is definitely optional.

Here's a tip: the key to great liner is small strokes. One long stoke can cause you to lose control and turn your perfect liner into a catastrophe!! (ok, maybe I'm being a little dramatic.)

Step 4: Continue the line, then wing it!

Some people like to go only halfway when they line their lash line, and that's great! But I prefer to go all the way in.

Try to make a "V" shape with your wing, filling it in completely.

Step 5: Remove the tape.

Gently remove the tape, careful not to mess up the wing.

Step 6: Revise.

After you've removed the tape, go back in and fix and mess-ups you could might have made. You can also thicken the wing, depending on how dramatic you want your eye makeup to look. Don't forget to fill everything in!

Step 7: The finished product.

And voila! Put on some mascara and any other eye makeup you want, and you're done!

Hope this helped at least some of y'all!
Big loves, Bethany x

Hey, it's Wednesday...

Hey guys! It's been awhile. But hey, I'm back! Woohoo! And guess what?! It's Wednesday! Sooooo...here's my Woman Crush Wednesday. :)

Jennifer Lawrence is not only beautiful on the outside, but also the inside. She is a wonderful role model for girls of all ages. You see, in Hollywood, she is considered obese. Guess what she says about that?...

"In Hollywood, I'm obese. I'm considered a fat actress. I eat like a caveman. I'll be the only actress that doesn't have anorexia rumors! I'm never going to starve myself for a part. I'm invincible. I don't want little girls to be like, 'Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I'm going to skip dinner!'"

"What are you going to do? Be hungry every single day to make people happy? That's just dumb."

"I'm never going to starve myself for a part. That's something I was really conscious of during training, when you're trying to get your body to look exactly right. I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong, not thin and underfed."

Wow. Can you say BRAVE? She actually said this. In front of Hollywood! Round of applause to you, Jen.

Jennifer Lawrence is by far my favorite celebrity/actress. She is so inspiring, beautiful, and funny. And we can't forget how confident she is in her own body and how she stands up for what's right. I absolutely love her. :)

I hope you are all as inspired as I am.
Have a great day,
Kisses -B

How to Fishtail Braid

I don't know about y'all, but it took me forever to master the fishtail braid. I, unfortunately, had to learn it the hard way (by video.. pausing, unpausing, pausing again.) since apparently no one wanted to post a step-by-step picture tutorial on the internet. BUT....now that this hairstyle has gotten much more popular with girls and young women, people have posted step-by-step tutorials. How exciting. They finally show me how to do it. As soon as I'm done spending 2 1/2 hours trying to learn it by watching a 7 minute video...yay.

Anyways, this braid is absolutely gorgeous and I'm basically in love with it. It's super simple (after you get the hang of it) and only takes 15-20 minutes (depending on the length and thickness of your hair)! Try it out! Send me pictures (ofloveandlace@gmail.com) too!
